If you’re pregnant, we recommend booking your appointment between 30-37 weeks for optimal results, but we’re happy to accommodate you at any stage.
We primarily serve LA, but we’re available for travel within and beyond the state.
The Process
2 - Imaging
We bring everything needed for the process straight to your home and each session lasts about one hour.
During your session, you’ll have the opportunity to explore different sculpture sizes and finishes, allowing you to choose the one that best matches your personal style.
The scanning process itself only takes a few minutes per pose, but we take the time to experiment with different positions so you can select the one you love most.
3 - Creating
After your 3D image is made, your image file is sent to our workshop. Here, we print the mould of your sculpture, and then, depending on your choice of material, it is sanded, polished, plated, or cast in real bronze.
Within 8-10 weeks you will receive your custom order delivered to your doorstep.

When I learned about Formae, I was reminded of the way sculptures of other women’s bodies in museums have helped me appreciate humanity’s infinite shapes. I thought this opportunity to put my own body into a piece of art might help me appreciate it in a way I have long struggled to do. Standing for the scan was an empowering experience, and now, whenever I look at the sculpture that came from it, I feel I am part of a long tradition of capturing and celebrating the beauty of the human form.
